Camphor chests were primarily made during the 18th and 19th centuries in China, initially for use within Chinese households and later for transporting goods like tea, silk, and porcelain to Europe. 
They are known for their distinctive camphor wood construction and intricate carvings and this is no different, beautiful but subtle.
