What an unusual description :-) 'Monkey Grandfather Light' - well its an old grandfather clock, sadly too expensive to restore, and way to exciting to condemn to the recycling centre.
It took a while to land on a theme, many ideas on instagram are of drinks cabinets and bookshelves... but they did not inspire.
 
The idea came to use the case as a light installation and whilst looking at the door where the mechanism would have been, we decided we needed something climbing up. I have been looking at the various monkey lights and fittings on interiors sites so bought two and had a play... this was the result and we love it!
